Β
β±οΈ Estimated Professional Time
A typical Express Entry application for a single applicant generally requires 25β30+ hours of professional work.
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ A straightforward application for a family of four (principal applicant, spouse, and two dependent children) who have all lived primarily in one country generally requires approximately 40+ hours of professional work.
Every immigration file is unique. Additional professional time may be required depending on the complexity of your immigration history, employment history, education, travel history, family composition, and supporting documentation.
π° Professional services are billed at CAD $280 per hour. Total professional fees vary depending on the complexity of each case and are outlined in your signed Service Agreement.
Β
π Why Some Applications Require More Professional Time
Some applications require substantially more preparation than others.
For example, if you or any accompanying family member have lived, worked, or studied in multiple countries after the age of 18, additional professional work is often required to:
β Prepare complete residential address histories for each country.
β Prepare detailed employment and personal activity histories without gaps.
β Verify travel histories covering several years.
β Determine which police certificates are required and how to obtain them.
β Review immigration status documents issued by multiple countries.
β Assess educational credentials obtained in different countries and determine whether Educational Credential Assessments (ECAs) are required.
β Identify documents requiring certified translations or notarization.
β Organize and review documentation issued by multiple government authorities.
The more countries involved, the more documentation must be reviewed, verified, organized, and cross-checked before your application can be submitted.
Β
βοΈ Health & Admissibility Assumptions
Our estimated professional hours assume that:
β Neither the principal applicant nor accompanying family members have medical conditions that may affect admissibility to Canada.
β Neither the principal applicant nor accompanying family members have criminal charges, convictions, outstanding warrants, or previous immigration enforcement issues.
β There are no previous findings of misrepresentation or other inadmissibility concerns.
If medical, criminal, rehabilitation, misrepresentation, inadmissibility, detention, removal, or other complex immigration issues are identified, additional professional services may be required. These matters are assessed individually and may increase the professional time required to prepare and manage your application.
Β
β οΈ Why Preparation Matters
Many applicants underestimate the importance of preparation.
In reality:
β Invitations to Apply (ITAs) may be issued shortly after your profile enters the Express Entry pool.
β You generally have only 60 days to submit a complete Permanent Residence application.
β Missing, incomplete, or inaccurate documentation may delay your application or result in refusal.
π Most of the work required for a successful application is completed before an Invitation to Apply is ever issued.
Β
π What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is Canadaβs online immigration selection system used by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to manage applications under several federal economic immigration programs.
Candidates are assessed based on:
β Age
β Education
β Language proficiency
β Skilled work experience
β Other selection factors
The highest-ranking candidates may receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian Permanent Residence.
Β
π Canadaβs Immigration Levels
Canada continues to welcome hundreds of thousands of new permanent residents each year through its economic immigration programs.
The question is not whether Canada is accepting immigrants.
π The question is whether you are fully prepared when your opportunity arrives.
Β
